Butters/Waxes

Beeswax (Cera Alba)*

Beeswax’s high vitamin A content provides rejuvenating and moisturizing properties to help soften and repair skin. Beeswax acts as a protective barrier to the skin and lips, helping to retain moisture and protect against irritants and harsh weather. It’s antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, greatly benefiting those with eczema, psoriasis, dry, cracked and flaky skin. 

Shea Butter (Vitellaria Paradoxa)*

Derived from the West African Shea Tree nut, Shea Butter is high in vitamins A and E, which helps reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles. It has been used for centuries to help moisturize and treat skin conditions. It’s anti-inflammatory properties help relieve eczema, cracked skin, wounds and raw skin. 

Oils

Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera)*

Coconut Oil contains vitamins E and K, making it highly moisturizing for the skin. The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties help treat many skin conditions such as eczema, burns and wounds. It’s antioxidants also help reduce inflammation on the skin.    

Grapeseed Oil (Vitis Vinifera)

Packed with omega fatty acids and antioxidants, Grapeseed Oil creates a skin barrier to help moisturize and even out skin tones. The anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflamed skin such as eczema and blemishes. Grapeseed Oil has a high content of linoleic acid which has been shown to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and winkles.

Jojoba Oil* (Simmondsia Chinensis)*

Derived from the desert Simmondsia Chinensis plant, Jojoba Oil has been used by Native American’s for centuries to treat wounds and other skin conditions. Jojoba Oil is lightweight and most similar to skin’s natural oils helping to balance natural oil production. It creates a protective layer to lock moisture in, helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by keeping skin plump and hydrated. Rich in antioxidants and fatty acids, Jojoba Oil can reduce the appearance of pores, redness and scars.

Rosehip Oil* (Rosa Rubiginosa Eglanteria)

Beneficial for all skin types, Rosehip Oil helps to brighten and even out skin tones. It’s another great oil for the face, as it has anti-aging properties to help with collagen production and elasticity. 

Sunflower Oil (Helianthus Annuus)

Derived from the seeds of the Helianthus Annuus plant, Sunflower Oil is emollient and creates a protective layer on the skin helping to retain moisture and shield from environmental toxins. It’s full of antioxidants helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s easily absorbed into the skin, evening out skin tone and cleansing pores. Its gentle properties make it ideal for sensitive and mature skin.   

Olive Oil* (Olea Europaea L.)

Full of antioxidant properties, Olive Oil creates a protective layer on the skin locking moisture in and providing deep hydration. It helps reduce the appearance of swelling and puffiness and protects skin from environmental damage.

Vitamin E Oil (Alpha-Tocopheryl)

Vitamin E creates a barrier to prevent moisture loss, softening extremely cracked and dry skin and lips. Its antioxidant properties have been shown to help with hyperpigmentation and to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Its calm ant-inflammatory properties make it ideal for soothing skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis. 

Essential Oils

Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia Carterii)

Astringent and anti-inflammatory, Frankincense oil is an excellent oil for the face as it can reduce blemishes, large pores and help even out skin tone. It has a rejuvenating effect on the skin which helps slow the signs of aging.

Lavender Essential Oil* (Lavandula Angustifolia)

Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils as it promotes relaxation and helps to improve moods. It has been shown to help with allergies, anxiety and even reduce the intensity of headaches. When applied topically to the skin, it helps reduce inflammation and its antiseptic properties help heal wounds and raw skin.  

Peppermint Essential Oil* (Mentha Piperita)

Peppermint has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever when applied topically. Its properties help sooth dry and cracked skin and lips. It has a calming and numbing effect which is why it is a popular ingredient in lip balms.

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia)

Derived from the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree, native to Australia, Tea Tree Oil has been used for centuries to prevent infection. It contains terpinene-4-ol which helps kill viruses, bacteria, and fungi. Tea Tree Oil properties help promote healing of the skin, including cuts, acne, and diaper rash.

Powders

Arrowroot Powder (Maranta Arundinacea)

Arrowroot Powder has a cooling and soothing effect when applied topically to the skin. It’s antibacterial and antifungal, making it ideal for raw and irritated skin.

Bentonite Clay* (Absorbent Aluminium Phyllosilicate)

Bentonite Clay’s negative charge makes it highly absorbent, helping to remove dirt and toxins from the skin. This fine powder has soothing properties which help heal irritated and raw skin.
